Texas Holdem Tips Please?
Hello all!
I am going to Vegas in a few days, and I want to play a couple games of holdem while I'm there, but I have some questions first, and hopefully someone here can help me. I have been playing holdem for over a year, but I have only played with friends on "poker night". I have never played in a casino atmosphere with a table full of strangers.
1. What does "sit and go" mean? Does that mean "cash game", where you get the exact amount of chips you buy in for, and you can quit whenever you want?
2. About how long does a tournament game last?
3. Is it better for a person like me to play in tournaments, or should I look for "cash games"? (or whatever they call them)
4. When playing poker, you are playing against the other players ONLY right? There is no house advantage when playing poker at the casino, right?
5. What is a good website to learn more about "position", and if you are in a good or bad one?
Thanks in advance for you help!
