Billings Poker Tournaments - Poker Hands on Tournaments
Poker hands on tournaments are nothing at all especially in no limit compared to ring games where hands really matter. It is rather doing action to maximize your potential in the tournament and not do action to maximize the potential of your hand. Winning hands is not your goal. Winning tournaments is.

Poker tournaments have become very popular over the last number of years. The increase in television coverage and the growth of online poker have attributed to its popularity. Poker tournaments appeal to so many people due to the fact that any player can get lucky and will have a shot at winning a life-changing amount of money from a fairly small investment.
In a tournament there is a buy-in, this is when all players enter a tournament for the same amount of money. In addition, the poker room or casino takes out an entry fee from all players entering the tournament. If the buy-in is $100 the house might take an extra $10, which means that the actual amount paid by the player is $110. If there are 100 players, the total prize pool will be 100 x $100 = $10, 000. The payout structure depends on the tournament, but usually there is a prize for approximately every 10 players. In this case, it might be 30% for first place followed by 20%, 13%, 10%, 7%, 6%, 5%, 4%, 3%, and 2% respectively, thus making it 10 prizes in total.
In the tournament all players start out with an equal amount of chips and, as it progresses, the stakes are typically raised every 15-60 minutes. The amount of chips players begin with, the stakes and the time periods determine whether it is a fast or slow tournament. Good players generally prefer slow tournaments where you start out with a lot of chips.
In tournaments you want to win the last hand, and basically couldn't care less about any hand before that.

After playing in Tournament poker on Full Tilt Poker for a couple of hours, my computer slows down.?
The cards will freeze in mid air, the sound will even quit and everything seems sticky. The only way to get it going right again is to shut the computer down and bring it back up. I was wondering if this ever happen to anyone else and do you know what is causing it? It doesn't do it on any other site. Full Tilt Support hasn't been able to help me with this problem. Thanks for any help that may help me resolve this problem.

Im Looking For a Pool Table?
I live in lakewood,Ohio. I am sixteen years old and for the past month or so have been playing pool multiple times a day for a few hours each visit. The only problem with that is that going to play pool is becoming quite costly. I have money about,,,4 grand from work and want to buy a table of my own. I dont want to spend much more than 1,500$ the only problem now is not that i cant find a table, but which one to pick. I have been looking in papers and have seen a lot, but i dont have a clue how to pick a good pool table. I am pretty new at the game but already have surpast my friends who have been playing for years, anyways what should i look for in a pool table. I dont have a clue how to judge one table to the next. The table will be in my garage which is attached to my house, but still gets pretty cold in the winter(not much below freezing, at coldest)- my email address is Tournament_Poker_2011@yahoo.com , feel free to leave advice
